How is Epi-Ready mounted?
Solid attachment to a wall surface with all four screws
and wall anchors (provided) is necessary for proper use.
The mounting holes on the back of the unit allow for
continuous detachment and re-attachment if you need to
take the unit back and forth between locations.
Where should it be mounted?
It is recommended that Epi-Ready be mounted in the most
frequently used rooms (home-kitchen, school-classroom,
cafeteria, etc.). It is also suggested to mount near the
most used door of exit to serve as a reminder to take
the EpiPen/Twinject when leaving.
The unit should be mounted at a minimum of 54 inches off
the floor. See mounting instructions.
How does Epi-Ready open or
close?
Epi-Ready has a tab hook on each side. The tab hook
attaches securely to the rear portion when closed. To
open, moderate pressure is evenly applied to each side
with fingers and the cover is pulled toward the user.
The instructions, “To Open Squeeze Sides & Pull Back”,
are imprinted directly on the cover. The unique closure
provides a level of security against children looking to
open unit for curiosity or other non-emergency reasons
What about direct sun and
temperature concerns?
Epi-Ready has been designed for the proper storage of
the auto-injectable epinephrine. The material used for
the unit has been selected to be see-through, yet
protective from UV rays. The vents placed in the bottom
and top of the cover will allow for acclimation of the
internal temperature to the room temperature.
Is it secure? Can children play
with it?
There is a level of security achieved through the tab
hook lock on each side and the shape of the unit’s
cover. A level of mature dexterity and hand size is
needed to unhook both tab hooks simultaneously. Mounting
the unit at a minimum of 54 inches from the ground will
also keep it out of reach of curious hands.
Is there anyway to adjust the
pressure that is needed to unhook the tabs?
Yes, the tabs can be adjusted to lessen the pressure
that is needed. Please call 877-374-7323 to learn how to
make this simple adjustment.
Does EpiPen/Twinject come with
the unit?
The auto-injectable epinephrine does not come with the
unit. The unit is designed to hold either EpiPen or
Twinject. It will hold 2 of these per unit.
